WELCOME TO BILLY'S MUSIC

I grew up in Lawrence Massachusetts, a textile manufacturing city of old mills and tenements. In many ways although I've traveled far in my life, I still live there. I've played music for a while but only started writing when I turned 60 and needed a way to think about and process my journey.  I am drawn to blues and Americana and gospel and Celtic sounds and to the simple power of a John Prine lyric, a JJ Cale rhythm, a BB King Solo, an Aretha howl and a Van Morrison Ballad. I write for myself truly, but also secretly I hope that someone out there takes the time to take a listen. :)
